The RCN Man with Ceremonial Sword is so wrong, where do I start. Judging by the medals, his gold anchor on his right chest, and the tattoo, this gentleman may have been in the RCN at one time. However, his uniform is full of no-nos. Medals are not worn with this level of dress; collar anchors are not worn with this shirt and have not been worn in the Navy since 1986; the RCN has no specialist badge (above the medals) that looks like that; the epaulettes are not RCN ranks; and his cap badge is definitely not RCN. I suspect this is a retired sailor who’s out of touch with the dress regulations and acting as an officer in the Navy League.
This blog seems to be dedicated to the miniature royal navy sword.
