Beaches Easter Parade

The one thing I really like about The Beaches Easter Parade in Toronto is that it is essentially a small-town parade that just happens to occur in a big city. It reminds me a lot of similar parades I used to see with my parents back up in Keswick, where anybody with a tractor and a flat-bed trailor could set up a float. The Beaches Easter Parade is maybe one step above that, and it seems like pretty much in The Beaches -- at least those with young children -- comes out to see it. Vanessa of course had a blast, and managed to scoop even more chocolate and treats that were often thrown to them from the various floats. We caught the parade at Queen and Wineva, just up from where Erika's mother lives, which is probably just prior to the middle part of the parade. At this point, there's still candy to be had, and the people (and especially the kids) in the parade don't seem exhausted, yet. At one point Erika was wondering why I was taking "so many silly pictures". For this Web site, that's why. Enjoy! ;-)
