Peter L. & Wife Have a Boy
Peter L., who I know from work -- well his wife has delivered another baby boy! Here's the message:

Little William Alexander was born around 1:45 after a wonderfully brief 
90 minute labour.  Mother and son are doing fine.

I'll be accessible by cell starting around noon tomorrow (please don't
call before that).

I certainly didn't call him, and I certainly hope nobody else from work did! A 90-minute delivery! While that may be too much to hope for, I would hope that Erika's delivery in a few months time is at least shorter than the 12 hours she went through before (though that's certainly not as long as some).

Heading to Nice Now Too!
Got an invite from Erika's father to go visit him at his Chateau (I kid you not) in the south of France near Nice. So, last night I booked us all passage there on the 20th using EasyJet. Interesting thing: I contacted our local travel agent first about arranging this. The price turned out to be astronomical -- turns out that while they have contracts for N. America -> Europe flights, they have next to no contracts that enable them to easily arrange for local Europe -> Europe flights. Price I got via EasyJet on the Web for all three of us cost about a third of the price quoted by my regular travel agent for a single ticket! Am really looking forward to the possibility of spending some time upon his yacht, the S.Y. Audacious again, and take a short sail on the Mediterranean! Just realized I flubbed a bit in buying the tickets returning back. We return to Luton airport on the 23rd, and have to get to a connecting flight out of Gatwick within two hours. Possible? I sure hope so...
