This morning I sent an email to Bryce and Pierre, pretty much trying to invite myself to their next recording session. Actually, it's more an excuse to see them both again. Over the course of the evening I had phone calls from the both of them. So, I am headin' to Montreal on November 2nd!
It's been years since I've been to Montreal. I think the last time was somewhere between 6 to 8 years ago for a Montreal Jazz Festival. Erika's father gave us the tickets to go, since has was unable to go to it himself at the time. I remember an oddly touching performance by an aging Rosemary Clooney at the main stage, walking down empty roads on a cool summer nights with Erika, having a cool beer while watching a funky jazz band from some bleechers situated by the roadside outside the main stage.
Am looking forward to seeing Montreal again. Also Bryce, Aggie and Pierre (and maybe Marie). All of my trips there have been memorable.
Pierre mentioned something about "spaghetti pizza". Somehow I think this'll be a memorable visit too. ;-)
