News and Xmas Shopping
More family-related bad news: Barb, David R’s mother, has been called into town from Belleville in order so that further tests can be done on what we have been told was a benign cancer; the father of David B., (Jennifer’s boyfriend) has just been diagnosed with colon cancer. Though not on the same scale, little Annie has been sick all week with some sort of cold, and she is very “soupy” with it, and it is hard to coax smiles out of her. It’s turned out to be a miserable holiday season.

Life goes on. I still needed to get a DVD copy of MST3K: The Hand of Fate for Bill, so I went downtown in order to try to find a copy, as well as take care of a few other errands along the way. I checked out The World’s Biggest Bookstore and HMV, but in vain. So instead I picked up a copy of The Economist, BBC History Magazine and KMT from The World’s Biggest Bookstore, found a copy of a Scrabble Dictionary at Mind Games (destined for use at Deloro), and finished off at to Birks in order to get the watch Erika got from her Father shortened by a couple of links to fit better. By this time it was just after noon, and The Eaton Centre was filling up, so I got out of there and headed back home.

Later that afternoon I picked Vanessa up from her school, together we picked up some groceries and I made a pasta sauce for dinner, giving Erika another break from cooking.

Tomorrow, I head off to Keswick again, as well as visit Mom at the hospital.
