Primarily due to the fact that Erika played at a concert Sunday night, and I had forgotten about it and hadn't made allowances for it timewise, I couldn't finish my usual Web Weaving article as I had intended for The Computer Paper. Erika has band practice on Monday nights so, knowing about the situation, she arranged to have a babysitter look after the kids while I finished off the article.
Well, I got about an hour's concentrated work on the article before I had to bail out the babysitter. ;-)
Annie didn't know the babysitter, and as she has four upper teeth coming in at once she seems to be having teething pain, so she refused to settle down for the 'sitter. So I emerged from my basement office, took little Annie in my arms and calmed her down. Annie cried while trying to eat and she wasn't yet sleepy, so I paid off the babysitter, and took care of Annie for the rest of the evening. I brought some toys for her to play with, and I settled down to watch more Cowboy Bebop when Annie's started to get tired. By about 9:30pm she had fallen fast asleep on my shoulder.
I didn't get my article done, but that didn't seem to matter much as I put a fast-asleep little baby girl in her crib that night.
