Thanks to the cold, I didn't fall asleep until the wee hours. Thankfully Erika took care of the baby when she needed feeding soon after, and I was awakened by a far too energetic Vanessa who jumped on top of me while I was still in bed. That certainly woke me up...
I groggily helped Erika pack things into the truck for their trip to Deloro. I’m staying behind primarily to work on the CSS book. Erika wasn't much more awake than I was, since she'd come out relatively late from Sherry's staggette the previous night (which was more based on wine than any raunchiness apparently). Soon after seeing them off I went back upstairs and straight to bed, giving in to the soporific effects of the cold medicine.
I set to work upon waking up. I finally swapped out the faulty network card with one that worked on the third computer system, and successfully set it up for both Internet and network access (that switch I bought has ended up being one of my best recent computer purchases).
Afterwards I researched and wrote sample code on CSS Transition Filters in Internet Explorer.
The time slipped by quickly while I was doing this, and before long my stomach began complaining that it was past dinner time. I ordered pizza and settled down to watch A.I. on DVD (which I had bought the previous day). Afterwards, I stayed up to begin writing up the CSS Transition filter material into the first of a couple of articles on the subject for The Computer Paper. Stayed up relatively late, as my rotten chest cold kept me up... Ugh.
