I woke up at the usual early hour in preparation to head to the Oakville office, and realized I was still sick. My muscles also decided to complain about all of the work they had done the day before, but that wasn’t the worst of it. I emailed that I wasn’t going to be in, and set to doing some work out home as long as I could hold out.
Turns out that Erika’s mother had come down with the same bug, and was as incapacitated as I. We all had the same chicken for lunch the day before, but since Erika never got sick, we figured it must have been a flu bug.
Didn’t have to “run” so much anymore, but I was completely whacked out, and ended up in bed in a dead sleep for almost half the day. Still couldn’t eat, and mouth felt constantly dry. Ugh.
Felt better, though still groggy, by dinnertime and I was finally able to stomach some food.
Bill W. dropped by and I handed over 10 CD-Rs filled with Kazaa downloads he had requested: MST3K episodes, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Bugs Bunny cartoons and more. We watched a few of the things I had acquired on my computer: we marveled at the quality of the rendering of some silly “space battles” (“Star Wars vs Star Trek vs Babylon 5” ;-) watched a quick “behind-the-scenes” documentary of the making of the “Buffy Musical” episode, and snippets of a Babylon 5 episode. It was interesting seeing the episode snippets of Babylon 5 again; to me it seemed much more space opera-ish than I remembered, though Bill's opinion was the just the opposite. Still ,if Season 3 and 4 came out on DVD, I’d buy ‘em (or more likely, borrow Bill's copy of them, as he'd land them first. ;-)
