Another baby milestone: Annie stood all by herself, without any aid, several times over this past weekend.
It all started out innocuously enough -- Erika and I were sitting out in the back yard and Annie was crawling around in the grass. She finds he passed part close to the sandbox, and then, facing us, she wobbily gets to her feet, straightens up, and gave us both a big, huge, proud grin.
We cheered and clapped. She giggled and clapped back. As if doing an encore, she did it again. Having done enough of that, she went off and started crawling back in the grass again.
Erika and I were as pleased as could be.
Annie did this again for us one more time while she was on the back deck on the Sunday, again garnering heaps of praise.
Can't get over the proud-looking grin on her face after she did it that first time. ;-)
