Another Writing Weekend
I got started in earnest on Saturday. By Sunday I had finished off a wholly new chapter on Internet Explorer's text-formatting extensions. It was interesting because I discovered that several of these properties -- most of which deal with formatting Foreign-language character sets -- are poorly documented (at least in English) on the Web. Microsoft's own documentation -- if it included any examples at all -- usually included example code that used English text, and simply didn't work. I've said it before, but getting this stuff to work properly is like me finding a whole bunch of new toys to play with. ;-) Then I have to write about it, and I'll admit to taking some pride in knowing that the book, when it comes out, will be among the first to talk about this stuff in a sensible, understandable manner and in context.

I'm also finding that with the Chapter I didn't quite get finished over the weekend, which looks at Internet Explorer's Filters and Transitions. I was again surprised at how poorly documented Microsoft's own browser-specific CSS properties can be -- no wonder that they are so little used (okay, being browser-specific doesn't help either, but still... ;-)

It's bound to be a selling point for the book.
