Sunday morning we awoke to a Winter Wonderland. This is Annie's second winter, but she's not likely to remember her first, as she was only a few months old and she wasn't mobile.
As I was shoveling snow off the back deck, Erika bundled Annie up in her snow suit and sent her outside. She took a couple of steps, then turned around and flumphed herself by the back door, crying to be let back in.
Soon after we all headed out to the nearest park with a decent hill, taking the toboggan with us. After Vanessa took a few practice runs first, we placed Annie in her arms and I went to the bottom of the hill as a "spotter" in case anything went wrong. Erika gave them a slight push and down they came. A shriek of delight from Vanessa and a big smile from Annie, followed by a happy giggle when I picked her up of the toboggan. I think her opinion of snow is improving.
This sequence went on for some time, culminating with some play on the swings, and ending up with two tired-out kids.
