Mom would have been 80 today.

I had a call earlier in the week from Marilyn C. who was a long-time friend of my Mother's who was in the same horticultural group, and who read a nice eulogizing piece at my Mother's funeral. Turns out that my Mother's name has been entered into an official book of remembrance in the Ontario Horticultural Society, which was nice to hear. I had previously spoken to Marilyn about planting a tree in Mom's memory as well, and she used the call to fill in some more details. I talked it over with Erika afterwards, and we decided on a flowering dogwood, which I think Mom would have appreciated.
