Me, the New Doc JavaScript?
My editor at The Computer Paper passed along an email from an editor at WebReference. Turns out that they are looking for some experienced writers for their online columns. And it's a paying gig too.

While I can justifiably call myself an expert on CSS, what they need is somebody who can write some innovative and new articles primarily on JavaScript.

I was impressed with the company I'd be keeping – the previous writer for them was "Doc JavaScript", who up until a year ago was writing regular articles for them. I've used his code examples for projects I've worked on in the past, so am impressed with the level of professionalism they are looking for.

So now I just need to send him some article ideas, and hope that I can make it into a regular series.

First thing that comes to mind is to try to redress the seeming imbalance in reporting on JavaScript workings in Internet Explorer, and see if I can interest them in articles that look at some tricks worth knowing about in Mozilla and Konqueror. Esoteric maybe, but useful for anybody looking for true JavaScript aficionados (I hope).
