Writing, Researching, Adaptation
Helped Erika pack up to take the kids to Deloro for the long weekend, and after seeing them off I headed down to the Toronto Reference Library to do some work on the family history. I was hoping to get some decent info about the Okills buried in Childwall, but ended up finding scant useful info from the parish registers of Hale, finding only some records for Okills under some variant names, and some Robertses likely not related to me. I actually had more luck searching through the IGI records they have on CD there, managing to print off a bunch of records of various interesting-looking Okills hailing from Lancashire. Will sort through them later to see if I found anything useful. Stayed until just before closing, and then headed to the local Starbucks for my favourite Mocha Frappacino before making my way back home to The Beaches.

Later, worked on doing various CSS browser compatibility tests and then posting the results to the www.corecss.com Web site. When my mind started turning mushy, I ordered pizza and ended up watching Adaptation, marveling at the ingenuity of the script, and at the performances Nicholas Cage puts in as twin brothers. The ending didn't ring entirely true to everything that led up to it, though I could help but laugh at the various twists the screenwriter ended up adding to the script. Will definitely have to keep an eye at anything else the Kaufman brothers manage to do that makes it to celluloid.
