Paternal GrandFather Died 85 Years Ago Today
I only found this information out very recently, courtesy of a gentleman who lives near Liverpool and was able to take pictures not only of his grave in the Childwall Churchyard, but was also able to take digital photographs of the original burial record entries also held in the church. (In exchange, I’ve been digging up information online about his family on Ancestry.com – a subscription service – that he doesn’t have access to).

I can’t help but think that there must be some sort of story behind his death, dying the day after the end of WWI. I’m probably reading more into it than is actually there, but I can’t help but wonder about it. I asked my Aunt Edith about this, but if there was some sort of story behind his death, it is now lost. He buried two wives (they were both Okills and sisters), and ended up raising two children with the help of a third Okill sister. His son in the space of about a year not only buried his Father but also his first son, my Uncle, who died in infancy. Different times, though of course not really that far away.

Day 3 of C# Class
About mid-way through today's class, and now I finally understand why we started learning about fields over properties. I am so used to a Web-based development perspective that I forgot about non-stateless programming requirements. A lot of things are beginning to click together now.

Having said that, I am still most definitely not a programmer and the lab examples are beyond my meager programming skills. Thankfully, I certainly have a far better idea of how C# works, and am now able to piece together more of what's going on in a given .cs, which is my basic goal for the course.
