Very weird. In today’s couriered mail I got not one but three issues of KMT, the Egyptology journal. I got the latest issue plus copies of the past two issues. All well and good, but it’s a weird way to fulfill my subscription.
I had subscribed to this about a year ago, and then never saw anything in the mail. I figured that for some reason the transaction didn’t go through, and subsequently just kept picking up the latest issues of the quarterly magazine whenever I saw it surface in the local magazine or book shops.
So I guess the subscription is valid after all, and I guess sending me three issues at once is their way of making up for the mistake. No note of apology accompanied the package, or anything else for that matter. Problem is that I already have the previous two copies, and if I had my druthers I’d just ask for an extension of the subscription instead of the back issues.
Will have to send them an email to sort this all out.
