I got some mail today from KMT. It explained the curious package containing several back issues a few days ago.
The letter came from the president of the firm, explaining that there had been a serious mixup in addressing my subscription, and that they had first discovered their error after the last issue got returned to them by the post. The previous two issues, while never delivered to me, were apparently not returned to them either. Hence the package containing the latest issue plus the two previous to it.
The president of KMT apologized for the mistake, calling it the first of its type in their 15 years of operation. In addition he offered to extend my subscription an extra issue as a result.
All of this has turned me right around in my opinion of KMT. I was not planning to renew until I got this letter, and now I consider myself a committed subscriber. Taking responsibility for a mistake and making more than good on it goes a long way in my books.
