Something I've been meaning to buy for a while since I first installed a trial version on my notebook about a year ago. I got an email offering it at a discount early in the week that I glanced at and red-flagged for later.
The clincher came when I got an email from my Aunt Audrey asking whether I had seen a conjunction of Jupiter and the Moon the previous night, something I had heard about and thought about going outside and seeing. So I tracked down that email and bought the program, which I thought was a deal at $20 U.S.
I installed it on all of the computers throughout the house, though I expect to really use it on my notebook when I take it with me to help identify objects in the clear skies of Deloro or the south of France, or wherever.
Played around in the evening with the software, changing perspective by zooming off to planets or other nearby stars, and trying to see if I could identify constellations before toggling line-figures in that virtual sky demarking them.
In the morning I noted that Jupiter was on a few degrees away from the Moon. I looked for them when I left for work, but it was a cloudy morning. Figures... ;-)
