The Third Bird the Third: Alex
We've been to the local pet shop at Queen and Coxwell so much of late that the store owners recognize us.
We've been to the local pet shop at Queen and Coxwell so much of late that the store owners recognize us.
This time the girls picked out a colourful young blue budgie with a small, yellow head. Judging by the colour of its cere, this one is a female.
Both Annie and Vanessa had agreed on the name — "Alex" — before I had even reached the cash register with the boxed bird in hand.
Time will tell if this one is a character like Goldie has turned out to be, or a nervous bump-on-a-log that is Twinkle.
